Quick Grammar Guide  Object of the Preposition

The object of the preposition is the main noun, pronoun, or principal group of words following a preposition. Prepositions take objects, just as transitive verbs do.

    "Margie is in the kitchen."
(The kitchen is the object of the preposition in. The whole phrase in the kitchen is called the prepositional phrase.)

"Aloe vera gel is good for the healing process."

"This present is from Stephen and Lisa."

"I often go to Bradley Beach."

"I don't like to go there in the rainy season."
